While the RAM Trucks brand is known for its astronomical capability, and beastily trucks, there's more to it than that. Believe it or not, its story goes back a long way, to the second world war, when the Power Wagon was birthed. Today, it’s a grunting gremlin of beast mode, with best-in-class nods for horsepower and torque.

It wasn't always that way, but it was always at the top of its pack. Take the 1963 iteration of the Power Wagon, for example. With 61 horsepower, but with a buttload of torque, it packed one mother of a wallop. Pair that with its military-grade chassis, and it kicked the proverbial gluteus maximus of whatever was thrown at it from 1946 to 1971.
