Many are quite aware of the soon-to-come 2014 Jeep Cherokee. It's incredible new design and performance features have many in the La Porte area chomping at the bit for its arrival. For a glimpse into its driving style, we here at La Porte Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM would like to share with you the driving impressions from a reputable auto industry publication.

Recently, the off-road gurus at FourWheeler were given a chance to drive a variety of new Jeep models, including the Trailhawk trim of the Jeep Cherokee, which is its most equipped model. Ali Mansour, Technical Editor at the publication, speaks of his experience in the desirable new ride, explaining, "Driving the Cherokee through the twisty and scenic backroads of Utah was surprisingly fun. The electronically-controlled steering (something most manufactures are switching to) actually delivered a precise and tight on-road feel."1

Mansour mentions that though he wasn't sure the V-6-equipped Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk was best suited for rugged terrain, it still performed quite well on normal off-road conditions and dirt roads. One thing he would have preferred was more suspension. If you are looking for a vehicle to be focused more on tackling rough terrain, models like the Jeep Wrangler would be better suited.
