In January, we were saddened to hear that the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Michigan was closing its doors. It still houses some of the earliest vehicles in the Chrysler umbrella, showcasing the automaker's rich history, with about 60-70 models left in its doors. We're happy to say that the public will be able to see them one last time for a special event that re-opens the museum.
The annual Chrysler Employee Motorsport Association car show will take place in the museum on June 8 and anyone can attend. This year's theme is called "Muscle: Past and Present." That means we could see some older versions of the Chrysler 300, with tail fins and all. Of course, all the other Chrysler nameplates will be on display too, along with unique concepts that never made it to production, and other interesting vehicles as well.
The nice part is, the Chrysler Employee Motorsport Association has announced that the proceeds from the event will benefit a local Detroit charity. They haven't determined which one yet, but at La Porte Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, we're sure it with be a worthy choice.
If you'd like more information on the event, visit www.cemaclub.org. Also, if you really want to experience the Chrysler Museum, it is still available for private function until the end of June. You can read up on that at www.wpchryslermuseum.org.
In the meantime, we invite you to stop in to our La Porte, IN showroom today. You can view our entire selection of new Chrysler vehicles, have your questions answered, and set up test drives in models that interest you.
